my name is roch and i am a shopaholic.
from mid-december up until today, i have been shopping on an almost daily basis. to date, i've bought 30 or so dresses, 3 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of boots, 2 purses, a pair of slacks (and i never wear slacks), about 12 tops, a pair of green jeggings and a plaid skirt. i have 3 packages on its way from the UK and the US. damn you asos.com and your 70% off sale.
yes, i have a problem.
i felt it was a series of fortunate events that led to my writing this. i've been mulling about ways to curb my bloody consumerism, i saw T post about TRYING to curb HER consumerism and then i came across a girl's blog where she chronicles how she managed to quit shopping for 1 year. 1 year. holy fuck.
and so here we are. trying to quit the shopping. first order of business for me was to unsubscribe from asos' mailing list. to be honest the best way to stop myself from shopping is to have zero internet access but we all know that's not gonna happen (the not having internet, not the not shopping hopefully).
as T has mentioned, the parameters are not yet clear. she has already made a pledge to not purchase un-needed clothing until June. i'm still thinking what's the best approach for myself. seeing as i want a pair of sapphire earrings, no thanks to T and C.
